promptaro is designed to keep teleprompter and speaking-practice workflows local to your Mac.

What promptaro accesses

• Camera, only when you use recording or camera-based practice workflows.
• Microphone, only when you record or enable speech-following.
• Speech Recognition, only when you enable live script-following or practice feedback.
• Local Network, only when you enable Remote or Director features on the same network.
• User-selected files, only when you import or export scripts or recordings.

What promptaro stores

• Teleprompter settings and app preferences on your Mac.
• Practice history and saved practice scripts on your Mac.
• Recordings only where you choose to save them.
• Purchase entitlement state as provided by Apple.

What promptaro does not do

• promptaro does not upload your scripts to a promptaro cloud service.
• promptaro does not sell personal information.
• promptaro does not require an account for core local teleprompter use.

Third parties and contact

App Store subscriptions and restore flows are handled through Apple. macOS permission prompts are handled by the operating system.
